BrickArms® M1903 Springfield

Introduced in 1903, just in time for the Philippine-American War, the M1903 Springfield was the lesson learned from lesser armed American troops during the Spanish Civil War, facing mauser armed Spanish troops. Based on the Mauser action, the M1903 was the first american service rifle to also utilize the new Spitzer cartridge, which is today's conventional, pointed and jacketed projectile. It would go on as one of the longest running service weapons in the US Military, spanning from mainline service in WWI and WWII, continued service for grenade launching and rear echelon roles in Korea, and seeing limited use as a sniping platform in Vietnam, before finally being phased out in the 1970s.
