BrickArms® BAR

Introduced in the waning days of WWI, the BAR was intended to provide the American infantry squad with an unprecedented amount of firepower during an assault. As automatic rifle technology evolved, by WWII the BAR found itself in an awkward position, too heavy to be utilized as a rifle, and not resillient enough to be used as a true machine gun. Nonetheless, the BAR continued to form the backbone of American infantry squads in WWII and Korea, and continued to see heavy use by ARVN troops in Vietnam.
